Spicy vegetable side dish, great with grilled pork or chicken Ingredients:
1/2 head cabbage, sliced |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger |
2 large cloves garlic, minced or pressed |
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
1 tablespoon teriaki sauce |
1 tablespoon cider vinegar (or vinegar of choice) |
2-3 tablespoons sugar (depending on your taste) |
2 tablespoons cooking oil |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. In large pan, heat oil...add onions and garlic. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Add cabbage, mixing well. Add remaining ingredients along with about 1/4 cup water and cook for 15 minutes (covered). Stir occasionally. |
