Substitute: Prepare as directed, using Kraft shredded Colby & Monterey Jack Cheese or Kraft Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese. I found this recipe in Kraft Food & Family. Each serving is 1 1/3 cup. I have not tried this mac & cheese. I'm posting this for safe keeping. Ingredients:
7 ounces kraft macaroni & cheese dinner mix |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces |
14 ounces diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained |
14 ounces diced tomatoes, drained |
10 ounces cream of chicken soup |
1/2 cup kraft mexican style shredded cheese |
Directions:
1. Prepare mac and cheese dinner as directed on package. 2. Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 5 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked through. Reduce heat to medium; stir in tomatoes and soup. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Add mac and cheese dinner; stir until well blended. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Cook 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. |
