Spicy Cherry and Apple Chutney |

Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) can dark sweet cherries, drained |
1 large tart apple, pared, cored, diced |
3/4 cup vinegar |
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced |
1/4 teaspoon red chile, crushed (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a heavy medium-size saucepan, combine all ingredients & bring to a boil. 2. Reduce heat & simmer 20 to 30 minutes until thickened. 3. Serve hot or cold with any type of meat. Rrefrigerate any leftovers. |
