So many flavors enhance the beef & it's all in one pan. Very easy recipe with an Oriental flare that your family & guests will love Ingredients:
2 medium carrots - peeled |
1 kg thick fresh rice noodles |
2 tblsp peanut oil |
750 g lean ground beef |
1 small onion - thinly siced |
2 cloves garlic - crushed & chopped |
1/4 tsp chinese five spice powder |
1/2 cup mild, sweet chili sauce |
1 bunch (400g) baby bok choy - chopped |
1/4 cup hoisin sauce |
2 tblsp soy sauce |
1 tbsp fish sauce |
2 tblsp chopped fresh coriander leaves |
Directions:
1. Using a vegetable peeler, cut carrots into long thin strips 2. Place noodles in a bowl, cover with warm water, stand 5 mins & then drain. 3. Heat oil in a wok or large deep pan 4. Add ground beef, onion, garlic & spice 5. Stir fry until beef is browned & almost cooked 6. Add chili sauce & stir fry until mixture is well browned 7. Add carrots, noodles & the remaining ingredients. 8. Stir fry until the vegetables are just tender |
