Spicy Beef Chili with Apples |

Ingredients:
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil |
1 tablespoon(s) smoked paprika |
2 teaspoon(s) chili powder |
2 teaspoon(s) cumin |
2 teaspoon(s) dried oregano |
2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder |
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
2 package(s) ground beef (or other ground meat) |
2 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and diced |
1 large yellow onion, diced |
1 6-ounce can(s) tomato paste |
3 cup(s) chicken broth |
2 tablespoon(s) cider vinegar |
salt and ground black pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Add the paprika, chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic powder and cinnamon. Cook, stirring constantly, for 30 seconds. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 6 minutes. 2. Add the apples and onion, then sauté for 5 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste, broth and vinegar, then bring to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. |
