Spicy Bean Salad

Not your traditional picnic bean salad.
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen whole green beans
2 (16 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
2 (16 ounce) cans butter beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup red onion, cut into rings
1 cup white vinegar
2/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
Directions:
1. Cook green beans in boiling salted water just until tender crisp. Drain and rinse in cold water to stop cooking process. Drain well.
2. Combine green beans, pinto beans and butter beans with red onion rings.
3. Whisk together remaining ingredients. Pour over salad.
4. Cayenne pepper may be added for more heat if desired.
5. Cover and chill overnight.
