Spice up seasonal asparagus with red pepper flakes for a versatile side dish. Ingredients:
1 pound trimmed asparagus |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
3 peeled and thinly sliced garlic cloves |
salt, to taste |
red pepper flakes, to taste |
Directions:
1. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the asparagus and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until just tender. Drain.Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic cloves until softened but not browned. Add the asparagus and sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes. Sauté 2 to 3 minutes. |
