Got this from a cookbook, its different in flavor from regular dips but is always enjoyed. Ingredients:
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple in its own juice. |
1 cup beef broth |
3 tbsp cornstarch |
2tbsp soy sauce |
2 tbsp white wine vinegar |
2tbsp firmly packed brown sugar |
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper |
cocktail franks, cubed ham, and assorted vegetables |
Directions:
1. Drain pineapple, rexerving juice 2. In small saucepan blend reserved juice, broth, cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar and brown sugar with red pepper. 3. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and boils. 4. Stir in pineapple. 5. Serve Hot,, or Cold depending on your taste. |
