Baby, it's cold outside. Ingredients:
1 gallon apple cider |
5 cinnamon sticks, plus extra for garnish |
2 oranges, cut into wheels |
1 red apple, cored and sliced |
1 green apple, cored and sliced |
1 1/2 teaspoons whole cloves |
1/4 cup dried cranberries |
1 -1 1/2 ounce spiced rum (tuaca, captain morgan, etc.) (optional) or 1 -1 1/2 ounce liqueur, per serving (tuaca, captain morgan, etc.) (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a big pot, combine the apple cider, cinnamon, fruit, cloves, and dried cranberries; bring to a boil. 2. Decrease heat and simmer 8-10 minutes. 3. Ladle cider (without spices and fruit) into coffee mugs and serve hot. 4. If desired, add spiced rum or Tuaca to each serving. 5. Garnish with cinnamon sticks. |
