A pirates treasured ice cream dream. Rum and spice! Ingredients:
3/4 cup raisins, chopped |
1 tablespoon crystallized ginger, chopped |
1/4 cup dark rum or 1/4 cup spiced rum |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 cups cream |
2 cups milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Combine raisins, ginger and rum in small bowl; cover and stand 1 hour. 2. Strain rum. 3. Dissolve sugar into rum raisin mixture. 4. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly; pour into an ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions. |
