Roasted Spiced Pecan Halves, a real holiday treat. Wonderful marriage of flavors from down Texas way. Ingredients:
2 cups pecan halves |
1/2 teaspoon hungarian sweet paprika |
1/2 teaspoon fine ground cumin |
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt flakes |
1 tablespoon melted butter |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. 2. Combine all the ingredients in a plastic bag and shake until nuts are coated with spices. 3. Spread out on a baking sheet and quickly roast in oven for 5 minutes or less. 4. Do not brown or you will release the volatile pecan oils. Allow the pecans to cool completely and package them in covered container. |
