Wonderful to nibble on with your holiday punch. Or, put in decorative containers as a heart-felt gift, especially during these difficult economic times. Ingredients:
1 egg white |
1 tablespoon water |
3 cups pecan halves |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Beat egg white (at room temperature) and water at high speed of an electric mixer until foamy. Add pecans, stirring to coat. 2. Combine sugar and remaining ingredients in a small bowl, and sprinkle over pecans; stir well. 3. Spread pecans in a single layer on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring twice. Let cool. |
