very tasty Greek recipe Ingredients:
6 large pears |
3 teaspoons sugar |
3 teaspoons cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 pinch black pepper |
2 tablespoons raisins |
2 tablespoons ouzo |
1 sheet puff pastry |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon water |
Directions:
1. peel pears leaving stem intact. 2. core each pear. 3. mix all other ingredients(except puff pastry and egg). 4. cut pastry into 6 pieces. 5. cut each piece into X shape. 6. place 1 pear in centre of each X. 7. fill each pear with mixture. 8. fold up each side of X to cover pear overlapping. 9. brush with water to close. 10. brush all over with egg/water mixture. 11. place on parchment-lined baking tray and bake at 400 for about 210 minutes until golden brown. 12. Serve with cream or custard. |
