These are good for a side or a nice warm spicy dessert. From Grandma Weed Ingredients:
3 fresh peaches |
1 tbs vinegar |
1 - 2 sticks cinnamon |
1 t whole cloves plus extra to put in peaches |
1 cup water |
3/4 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and water to make a simple syrup 2. Dip peaches in boiling water, quickly remove and slip skins off. Cut in half and remove pit. 3. Stud peaches with a few whole cloves. 4. Place peaches, syrup, vinegar, cinnamon and 1 Tbs whole cloves into a sauce pan. Heat to boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. 5. Drain and serve warm or chill and serve later. |
