Spiced Orange Mulled Mead (Adult) |

Lovely drink for a brisk fall evening, similar in principle to mulled hard cider, using honey liqueur. Use the remaining orange segments as a snack over pumpkin or vanilla ice cream. Ingredients:
1 (750 ml) bottle mead |
1 orange, quartered |
3 inches cinnamon sticks |
7 whole cloves |
7 whole allspice |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
50 ml grand marnier |
50 ml goldschlager |
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a medium sacepan with a tight-fitting lid. Heat and bring to a simmer; reduce and don't allow to boil. Let warm with the lid on for 10-20 minutes to allow the flavours to combine. Serve warm. . |
