Warm up your morning with a steaming mug of cider and a slice of Glazed Orange Bread. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon grated orange rind |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice |
2 whole cloves |
1 3/4 cups unsweetened apple cider |
1/2 cup unsweetened orange juice |
2 (3-inch) sticks cinnamon (optional) |
Directions:
1. Place first 4 ingredients on a 4-inch square of cheesecloth or coffee filter; tie with string. 2. Pour cider and orange juice into a small saucepan; add spice bag. Cook over low heat 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove and discard spice bag. Pour cider into mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks, if desired. |
