SPICED NUTS This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hunter Estate in Saginaw, Texas in 1991. Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 cups walnuts |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar and milk in saucepan and boil until hard ball stage. 2. Remove from heat then add nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. 3. Mix in walnuts well then spread on waxed paper separating nuts and let dry. |
