Olde Ingredients:
10 pounds cubes of beef |
2 cups cider vinegar |
1 cup lime or lemon juice |
1 cup pineapple juice |
1 cup molasses |
1 bay leaf |
1 tablespoon ground ginger |
1 tablespoon black pepper |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 large onion,sliced |
1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Brown cubes of beef. 2. Place in heavy Dutch Oven with all that is called for. 3. Cook over low heat until tender,about 2 to 2-1/2 hours. 4. Serve over cornmeal mush,or rice,or potatoes 5. Note: With the vinegar and lemon ,and pineapple juice the meat will be tender pretty quickly. |
