Not your average biscuit! Ingredients:
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
2 teaspoons ground allspice |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg |
1 (7 1/2 ounce) package refrigerated biscuits (10 per package) |
oil (for deep frying) |
Directions:
1. In a shallow bowl mix together the sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. 2. Set aside. 3. Heat oil to 350° and carefully fry the biscuits, in small batches, until golden brown on all sides. 4. Drain slightly and roll in sugar mixture. 5. Note: The sugar mixture can be placed in an airtight container. It can last up to one month (not that it ever does at my house. It is great on toast, sprinkled in hot tea, or added to white cake batter). |
