Spiced Apples in Heavy Syrup |

Spicy apple dish best served hot Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs fresh tart apples, peeled,sliced |
2 cups cider vinegar |
4 cups sugar |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Add sugar, vinegar and spices together in a 2 quart pan and bring to a slow boil. 2. Add apples, cooking until tender. 3. Remove apples to a non-metal container. 4. Boil down the syrup until about 1/3 the original volume. 5. Pour syrup over apples. |
