They are good enough that you usually don't need to bother with syrup and are great for a snack. This came from Cooking On A Budget. I have not tried this, just posting for future use. Ingredients:
2 eggs |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 cup milk |
4 tablespoons vegetable oil |
6 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
3 tablespoons sugar |
1 cup applesauce |
1 pinch ginger |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients. 2. Lightly coat a large skillet with vegetable oil and heat over medium heat. Flip the pancakes when they start to bubble. 3. This makes a large batch that freezes and reheats well and they smell wonderful! |
