Am I the only one that makes soup in the summer? This used to be one of my favorites. I find soup to be a great weight control trick. Filling! Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil |
1 lb sweet italian sausage, remove casings |
1 cup thin sliced onion, quartered |
2 cloves garlic crushed |
1 lb fresh mushrooms - thin sliced |
2 cans (35 oz) italian plum tomatoes undrained but broken up |
4 tbsp w-shire |
1 cup dry red wine |
10 oz can whole baby clams or minced, do not drain |
Directions:
1. In a pan heat the oil and add the meat. Break up and cook till brown (5 minutes). 2. Remove the meat and set aside. 3. In a lg pan, add some oil. Saute the onions, garlic and mushrooms. 4. Add the tomatoes and the remaining ingredients. 5. Simmer for 1 hour. |
