Pared down version of Spare Ribs. Use low sodium soy sauce next time. **Ingredients: pork loin country-style ribs ketchup vinegar brown sugar honey soy sauce dry mustard garlic powder pepper cvt Ingredients:
424 g pork loin country-style ribs (cooked yield from 1.54 lb raw) |
1/2 cup ketchup |
37 g vinegar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
28 g honey |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1/2 tsp dry mustard |
1/4 tsp garlic powder |
1/8 tsp pepper |
Directions:
1. Bake spare ribs on a broiler pan at 500 degrees for 25 minutes, turning halfway through. 2. Remove visible fat and put into a saucepan with a tight cover. Mix remaining ingredient in a bowl and pour over spare ribs. 3. Start at medium heat, then reduce to low, and simmer with cover on for about two hours, checking every half hour for volume of sauce remaining to prevent burning. 4. Note: Will use only 2 Tbsp brown sugar and buy reduced sodium soy sauce next time because these were a bit salty. |
