Spanish Rice (Kids' Favorite)

American style spanish rice, not too spice for kids
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup uncooked white rice
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
32 ounce tomatoes (diced)
15 ounce tomato sauce
1 teaspoons chili powder, or to taste
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Brown lean ground beef in oil with garlic, add onions and stir fry until onions are soft. Add tomatos, sauce and peppers. Bring to a boil and add salt to taste and rice. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until rice is tender.
2. For quick prep, use instant rice, cooking according to package directions and stir in cooked rice. For more adult tastes, add a 4 oz can of green chilis and an 4 oz. can of sliced black olives.
