Tasty rice that goes well with any Mexican dish you make. Cheers, -Brian S. Crist II Ingredients:
2 cups of uncooked rice |
1/4 cup of vegetable oil |
4 cups of water or chicken broth (preferably the broth but water will do) |
1/2 large onion |
1 large ripe tomato |
1/2 can of sweet corn |
1 tablespoon of seasoning salt |
1 tablespoon of garlic salt |
1 tablespoon of ground cumin |
2 tablespoons of tomato bullion |
1 teaspoon of sugar |
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro |
Directions:
1. 1) Mix all spices and rice in bowl 2. 2) Dice onion and tomato 3. 3) Heat oil in pan and cook onion until translucent 4. 4) Add in rice and spices and cook for about a minute and a half stirring frequently 5. 5) Add in tomato and corn and cook for another two minutes 6. 6) Pour in the four cups of water or broth 7. 7) Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and cover stirring occasionally for 20 minutes 8. 8) Fluff and serve |
