A great way to spice up your plain white rice. Ingredients:
3 cups cooked white rice (cooked in beef stock) |
1 red pepper, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
1 onion, chopped |
1/2 cup chopped mushroom |
1 stalk celery, cut into small pieces |
1 cup beef stock |
2 cups crushed tomatoes |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
3 -4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce (to taste) |
1 dash garlic powder |
1 dash onion powder |
3 tablespoons butter |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet saute peppers,onion, mushrooms,and celery in butter until softened. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minute. 2. You may need to add more beef stock if rice is too dry. |
