Flavorful companion to spicy or saucy dishes. Ingredients:
1 cup white rice |
1/4 cup onion, diced |
1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced |
1 tablespoon garlic, minced |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 -3 tablespoons tomato sauce |
2 cups water |
1 tablespoon oil |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, heat oil and saute rice, onion and bell peppers. 2. Add remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover. 4. Simmer 15 minutes or until rice is tender. |
