This is a modified recipe from my mom. She cookes her rice on the stove and I use a rice cooker. Ingredients:
1 can tomato sauce |
1/2 cup salsa |
1/2 teaspoon mexican chili powder |
1 -2 garlic clove |
1 chopped onion |
1 cup uncooked rice |
2 cups water |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. If cooking on the stove, first brown rice in pan with oil. Then place all ingredients in pan and simmer till liquid is gone. 2. If using rice cooker, put all ingredients in cooker and start. |
