Easy Spanish rice using brown rice instead of white. Ingredients:
1 cup brown rice |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
2 cups water |
1 cup salsa |
1 cup diced tomatoes |
Directions:
1. Combine rice and garlic in a saucepan. Stir in water, salsa, and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil. 2. Stir rice mixture and reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, for 50 minutes. Turn off heat and allow rice to sit, covered, for an additional 5 to 10 minutes. Stir rice before serving. |
