Spaghetti With Sausage and Peppers |

We got this recipe from a family friend. Its delicious, and great for cold days . Its a spicy twist on spaghetti. Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage, 1/4-inch slices (kielbasa) |
2 medium green bell peppers, thinly sliced |
2 medium red bell peppers, thinly sliced |
1 onion, halved and thinly sliced |
3 diced tomatoes with juice, cans |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
louisiana hot sauce, to taste |
1/2 cup chicken broth |
1 teaspoon paprika |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
12 ounces spaghetti (cooked and drained ) |
Directions:
1. In a dutch oven, brown sausage. Add peppers and onions. saute for 2 minutes Add tomatoes. garlic. hot sauce, paprika. salt.and cayenne. Cook and stir until vegetables are tender. Combine broth and cornstarch and add to sausage mixture. Bring to a boil. Stir until thickened. Add spaghetti and cook 5 minutes. Stirring occassionally. |
