Spaghetti With Fresh Tomatoes |

There are a few recipes here on Zaar that are based on a similar concept, fresh tomatoes, no cook sauce, but I didn't see this exact recipe and I just made it the first time tonight and it is really quick and super delish so I wanted to share. Ingredients:
5 ripe tomatoes, diced |
10 fresh basil leaves, cut in strips |
1/4 cup olive oil |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1 lb spaghetti |
4 ounces provolone cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Stir first 6 ingredients in bowl to mix. Cover and let stand about 30 minutes to blend flavours. 2. Cook spaghetti in pot of salted water until al dente. 3. Transfer tomato mixture including juices to a shallow serving dish. Add hot spaghetti, toss to mix. Sprinkle with cheese and serve immediately. |
