Spaghetti with Fennel and Shrimp |

Adventurous pasta eaters everywhere will love this delicious shrimp recipe made even healthier with PLUS for an extra boost of protein, fiber and ALA Omega-3. Ingredients:
1 box barilla plus® spaghetti |
1 (24 ounce) jar barilla marinara - traditional sauce |
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil |
1 clove garlic, sliced very thin |
1 bulb fennel, trimmed, sliced thin (include some fronds) |
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/2 cup fresh basil, torn |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and fennel. saute 2 to 4 minutes or until fennel begins to soften. 2. Add shrimp and oregano to skillet. Raise heat slightly and saute for 3 to 5 additional minutes or until shrimp is cooked. Add marinara sauce, basil, salt and pepper. 3. Cook Plus® Spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. Toss pasta with sauce in skillet while cooking and additional 3 to 5 minutes. 4. Transfer hot Plus® Spaghetti to a large serving platter and serve immediately. |
