Spaghetti Squash With Chicken and Italian Sausage Sauce |

I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Obesity Help. Ingredients:
1 spaghetti squash, cut in 1/2 & de-seeded |
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (evoo) |
1/2 onion, diced |
24 ounces hunts italian sausage spaghetti sauce (1 can) |
24 ounces classico tomato and basil pasta sauce (1 jar) |
4 ounces perdue short cuts original roasted carved chicken breasts, chopped |
1 -2 tablespoon italian seasoning |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Place halves of spaghetti squash, cut side down, in shallow roasting pan. Add 2 water and bake 45 minutes or until tender. Remove from pan and scape inside of squash with fork. Place noodles squash in bowl and set aside, keeping warm until ready to serve. (Pour off accumulated liquid before serving) 3. While squash is baking prepare sauce. Add EVOO & onions to a deep sauce pan and saute until onions are soft & opaque. Add all other ingredients and simmer, stirring occasionally, until squash is ready to serve (apx. 30 minutes). Serve sauce over squash noodles . |
