Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 cup onion, chopped |
1 tablespoon garlic, minced |
2 cups tomato juice |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon basil |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (8 ounce) package thin spaghetti |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. In 12 inch skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until beef is no longer pink. 2. Drain; Stir in tomato juice, water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and spices. 3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. 4. Add uncooked spaghetti; stir to separate strands. 5. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes more, or until spaghetti is tender. 6. Stir often. 7. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese when serving. |
