From . I like this sauce a lot because it is easy to make and the brown sugar makes it sweet, which I love! Ingredients:
1 lb extra lean ground beef |
1/2-1 cup chopped onion |
1 garlic clove, minced |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans tomatoes, cut up |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 cup beef broth |
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes |
2 teaspoons brown sugar (i used 5 because i love super-sweet sauce!) |
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves |
1 teaspoon salt (to taste) |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. In skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain. 2. In slow cooker combine browned meat, onions and garlic with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. 3. Serve over hot spaghetti. May be made ahead of time and frozen. |
