A staple in any household. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil |
1 medium onion, diced |
1 teaspoon garlic, minced |
28 ounces tomato sauce |
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1/2 cup water |
2 teaspoons dried oregano |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 teaspoon dried rosemary |
1 teaspoon sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. 2. Add the onion and garlic and saute until softened, about 3 minutes. 3. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, oregano, thyme, rosemary, and sugar. 4. Add the salt and pepper to taste. 5. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer, partially covered, for half an hour. |
