Being the good ol'italian that I am I needed a good sauce recipe and Sue gave me this one. I believe she said she got it from the back of a macaroni box. Enjoy. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil |
3/4 cup chopped onion |
3 garlic cloves, crushed |
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste |
2 1/2 cups water |
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown the onion and garlic in the olive oil. 2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour or until thick enough for you! |
