Pasta and Marinara sauce Ingredients:
2 pounds hamburger |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1 tablespoon garlic, minced |
24 ounce pasta sauce |
15 ounce diced tomatoes, drained |
15 ounce tomato sauce |
2 teaspoons oregano |
1 tablespoon basil, ground |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
30 ounces pasta, dry |
1 pound mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Brown meat, onion and garlice, drain fat and return to skillet. Add remaing ingredients except pasta and cheese. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in large pan bring water with 1 tablespoon olive oil added to a boil. Add pasta and stir for a few minutes to keep pasta from sticking together. Turn heat off and put lid on pan to finish cooking pasta. You may need to stir every 5 minutes. Drain pasta and cover with meat sauce. Pass the cheese please! |
