A favorite at my house and perfect for a fall day. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
28 ounces italian-style tomatoes |
12 ounces tomato paste |
1 cup water |
1 large onion, diced |
3 -8 garlic cloves, minced |
1 cup red wine |
1 tablespoon salt |
1 tablespoon pepper |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon basil |
1/2 teaspoon sage |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1 teaspoon rosemary |
2 bay leaves |
Directions:
1. Brown the beef in a sauce pan. Remove the beef and sweat the onions in a bit of olive oil until tender. Add garlic, continue to saute for roughly 3 minutes. Take beef, onions, garlic and all remaining ingredients and put in a large pot. Bring to a boil and then simmer for an hour. Enjoy! |
