I got this from the School Nutrition Association and I haven't exactly tried it but I wouldn't suggest it-I just need the nutritional facts. Ingredients:
17 lbs ground beef |
12 ounces dried onion flakes |
3 tablespoons garlic powder |
1 tablespoon black pepper |
1/2 gallon tomato, crushed, canned |
1 cup tomato paste |
3 quarts water |
1/4 cup ground basil |
1/4 cup ground oregano |
1/4 cup dried marjoram |
1 tablespoon dried thyme |
6 gallons water |
6 lbs spaghetti |
2 tablespoons salt |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef; drain. 2. Add onions and garlic powder. Cook for 5 minutes. 3. Add pepper, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, water, and seasonings. 4. Simmer for 1 hour. 5. Heat water to rolling boil. 6. Add salt. 7. Slowly add spaghetti (broken into thirds). Stir constantly, until water boils again. 8. Cook 10-12 minutes or until tender, stir occasionally. 9. Do not overcook. 10. Drain well. 11. Stir into meat sauce. 12. Pour into serving pans. 13. Portion 1 1/2 cup per serving. |
