My recipe for spaghetti lightened up with olive oil and lean ground beef. Ingredients:
1 tbls olive oil |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 lb ground beef |
1 tsp garlic salt |
4 1/2 oz mushroom stems, sliced |
8 oz tomato sauce |
14 1/2 ounces canned tomatoes, diced |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 cup parsley |
1/2 tsp oregano |
1/4 tsp pepper |
1/4 tsp basil |
1/4 tsp bay leaf, crushed |
8 ounces spaghetti, thin |
Directions:
1. Saute vegetables and spices in olive oil. Brown ground beef and drain. Add to vegetable mixture. Simmer for 20 minutes. While sauce simmers, cook spaghetti and drain. Serve sauce over spaghetti and serve with warm rolls. |
