this is a plain and simple recipe my mother used to make me. Ingredients:
100 g spaghetti |
1 ml oil |
1 teaspoon salt |
100 g lean ground beef |
1 ml pepper |
1/4 onion |
50 ml mushrooms |
1 ml salt |
200 ml diced tomatoes |
1 ml basil |
50 ml tomato juice |
1 ml oregano |
15 ml parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. bring water to a boil in a large saucepan and add salt and oil. add spaghetti so water is always boiling. 2. cook, stirring occasionally until al dente. drain in a colander and rinse if desired. serve hot with meat sauce. brown beef in a skillet over medium heat. 3. add chopped onions and saute until onions are transparent. stir in mushrooms and diced tomatoes, tomato juice. simmer and cover for 15 minutes sir occasionally. serve hot over spaghetti and sprinkle with cheese. |
