This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982. “You get a grand nutty flavor and a beautiful golden brown with soy flour. Read more .” Ingredients:
1 egg beaten |
1-1/3 cups milk |
3 tablespoons melted shortening |
1 cup flour |
1/2 cup soy flour |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
4 teaspoon baking powder |
3 tablespoon sugar |
1 cup warmed cranberry sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine egg, milk and shortening. 2. Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until smooth. 3. Bake on ungreased griddle. 4. Pour batter from 1/2 cup measure. 5. Spread with warm cranberry sauce. 6. Stack 7 high then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve in wedges. |
