SOUTHWESTERN STAR DIP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dingo Estate in Austin, Texas in 1991. Ingredients:
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
1 cup mayonnaise |
4-1/2 ounce can chopped ripe olives drained and divided |
4 ounces chopped green chilies undrained |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce |
1 medium tomato chopped |
1/4 cup chopped green onions |
tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. Combine cheese, mayonnaise, 1/3 cup olives, chilies, garlic powder and hot pepper sauce. 2. Transfer to an ungreased pie plate then bake uncovered at 350 for 20 minutes. 3. Sprinkle tomato on top in the shape of a star and outline with remaining olives. 4. Sprinkle onions around the star. |
