I found this wonderful recipe in a newspaper a couple of years ago. A creation by Personal Chef Elicia Sherman. Heaven does not describe them. Ingredients:
1/2 c diced green, red and yellow peppers |
1/2 c corn |
1/4 c green onion (optional) |
2 c sifted all-purpose flour |
3 tsp. baking powder |
1 tsp. salt |
1/ 2 c vegetable oil |
2/3 c milk |
1 1/2 c cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Dice peppers. 2. In fry pan, sautee peppers in butter until tender but not brown. 3. Stir flour, baking powder, salt, vegetable oil and milk together. 4. Dough should be sticky. 5. Add peppers, corn and cheese. 6. Drop large buiscuits from spoon on cookie sheet. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
