Great little appetizer that a friend of mine brought to the super bolw party! She didn't have any left to take home! I put 20 servings...it makes about 50 wontons, but, no one is gonna eat just one! Ingredients:
1 1/2 c chopped, cooked chicken |
1/2 c finely chopped red bell pepper |
12 oz pepperjack cheese, grated |
1 envelope taco seasoning mix |
3 t salsa, plus more for dipping |
salt & pepper |
50 wonton wrappers |
oil for frying |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except wontons and oil in large bowl, stirring well 2. Place 1 t mixture in center of each wonton wrapper 3. Moisten wonton wrapper edges with water, bring corners together, pressing to seal. 4. In a dutch oven, pour oil to a 2-inch depth and heat to 350 5.
