SOUTHERN STYLE CREAM PEAS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dimmer Estate in Rockwall, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
4 tablespoons margarine |
4 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
3 tablespoons honey |
3 cups cooked green peas |
Directions:
1. Melt margarine over low heat then slowly add flour and salt then mix well.
2. Very slowly add milk while stirring constantly then mix thoroughly then add honey.
3. Mix gently with peas just before serving.
