Another old Southern dish. Ingredients:
2 bunches of fresh spinach |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1 tsp. seasoning salt |
1 chunck salt pork (3 oz.) |
water |
Directions:
1. Remove stems and pick the yellow and brown leaves off the spinach. 2. Wash spinach several times in kitchen sink. 3. Wash until spinach is free of any residue and water runs clear. 4. Cook all together on top of stove in large pot in about 3 cups water for 1 hour on medium high heat at a soft rolling boil. 5. Add more water if necessary. |
