Another recipe by my mom!!! All her recipes are so delicious. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups tomatoes (fresh or canned) |
4 tablespoons butter |
1 cup bread cubes |
1 medium onion |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 dash tabasco sauce |
1 dash sweet basil |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
4 slices bacon |
crushed saltine crackers, for topping |
Directions:
1. Melt butter. 2. Add bread cubes and brown lightly. 3. Add more butter if needed and lightly brown onions. 4. Fry bacon, drain, bacon and crumbled bacon into drippings. 5. Mix all ingredients and spoon into 2 quart casserole dish. 6. Cover with crushed crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Add cheese on top last 15 minutes. |
