SOUTHERN PECAN PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dimmer Estate in Rockwall, Texas in 1994. Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup white corn syrup |
3 tablespoons butter melted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 eggs well beaten |
1 cup chopped pecans |
1 unbaked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar and syrup with melted butter then add beaten eggs and vanilla. 2. Stir in chopped pecans then mix well and pour into unbaked pie shell. 3. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes then lower temperature to 350 and bake 30 minutes longer. |
